    Customized Branding Iron

I came across this 3D printing site doing some other research and thought this might be a good idea for signing projects.

Alex Franke had them do a couple for him last year. Looks like they turned out pretty good. I'd like to hear how they are still holding up.

I've done a number of them at shapeways.

They're still holding up well I was going to arrange another bulk order, but I first need to try to get my 3D modeling software license extended... I'll keep you all posted if I do.

One more thing that might help if you do it yourself: Here's a detail test that I did with the stainless steel printing. The detail is actually pretty remarkable. Click through to my website for big versions of the images and more detail.

            Alex,

I have been working on the Inkscape drawings for mine, I would LOVE to get in on a group buy, or at the very least get someone to turn my 2D ideas into 3D for a reasonable fee... Let me know when you get your software back up and happy...

Never mind, I got it figured out. Shapeworks has a tutorial on how to export out of Sketchup to a format they can use...
