    Knee Update

I had my appointment with the Orthopedist (a D.O). The diagnosis is that I tore the meniscus. It was explained that it's like a cushion between the bones. The first order of treatment will be therapy, and if that doesn't do the trick, outpatient surgery will be in order.

Hopefully I can get back to pain free movement.

    Cab,

Screw the therapy, get a script for 10mg Vicodin. Way cheaper and a lot more fun.

Plus you'll need it for the finger you cut off operating a saw while under the influence.

Dealing with various body pains is no fun. The PT doc has me on doesn't seem to do much for me at all other than make me sore... Hope you score better.

Been there, done that, only without the drugs. Ah but what a relief they are after the fact.

Glad to hear it wasn't something really bad, like knee replacement.

Without knowing the extent of the tear, I will say GOOD FOR YOUR DOC!

Therapy for minor tears can work wonders. At least the doc wasn't in the "Cut to Cure" camp.

I went in today for the first therapy session, and hit a snag. The therapist decided not to do any treatment as my leg from the knee to my foot was swollen. I didn't think twice about it because it's been swollen for over a month.

They suggested I call my primary care doctor. He suggested I go to the ER and get tested to see if I have a blood clot. Well, most of the day got shot at the hospital. I got an ultrasound checking for Lymphedema. That turned out negative.

So, next week it's back to the therapist.
