I'm surprised it didn't get reported. I do have some dark humor.
I have a little blog about my shop

I've been using Carmex now for the past few weeks now. I bought 2 different
ones--one that comes in a Chapstick like tube and one that comes in a little
screw top can marked The Original. The formula in the tube is different from
        the can.

I've found that the tube one didn't perform as well as the can. My lips still
chap and peel during the day. I use the can one before I go to bed and my
lips are always in good shape in the morning. I apply with my finger.

There was an NPR story on lip balm some time ago. The "expert" said most
are OK but there was no perfect one. He ended by saying that most chapped
lips happen because people lick their lips and that's what dries them out. I
am definitely a lip licker. Either the canned Carmex is just better or I'm not
licking my lips while I'm sleeping. I will start taking the can to work and see
        what happens.

I do have an Avon lady at work so I'll ask her about the lip balm.

For some reason I have never had a need to use any lip balm or chap stik, etc.. But my wife has always used regular chap stik. She would apply it quite often. This past year she started using a product from Mary Kay. She now swears by it. According to her it outperforms the chap stik hands down. She handed me her tube and told me to post this for all to see. By the way, she does not sell the stuff, only uses it.

The tube says :Mary Kay Lip Protector Sunscreen.
I can't vouch for it as I don't use any thing.

          Hope this helps someone.
