This is similar to a headline in our local paper from a couple of years back, wherein they announced that the "Number of Heroin Users Has Shot Up in the Last Year"...

And my personal favorite, printed after Dizzy Dean took a line drive in the head:

"X-Rays of Dean's Head Reveal Nothing"
          Smit

          "Be excellent to each other."

I think the last " Falstaff " I had was when I was in the navy back in 1958.

Dizzy was a character... I loved watching him announce baseball broadcasts... It was probable that he and Yogi Berra learned English from the same guy... "...and then he slud into third base..."

I remember watching Dizzy pitch in an 'Old Timers Game'. He picked up[ a slow grounder and, instead of throwing to first for the out, he 'ran' over to touch the base himself....Then was helped off the field because he twisted his ankle on the bag!

In those days players commonly played in the game to their mid 40's, or later, so the game was really played by Old Timers, some of them pushing 70, out to have a good time and remember the good days. A lot of fun to watch.
