    July 4th

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA

I think its about time for all of us to "really" celebrate our country's birthday.

The past year has been harder than we'd all like and maybe, just maybe, if we all at least try to get along, things will get better a bit sooner.

    God Bless this country.

I visited Philadelphia last summer, and spent so much time in Independence Hall that the park ranger chased me out. I got chills standing in the same room where the Declaration & Constitution were debated and voted on. I was looking over where the Pennsylvania delegation sat, and all I could think was, "Ben Franklin's butt was seated over there!" Most of the furniture is replaced, except for Washington's sunburst chair.

I spent even longer at the Liberty Bell.

        Happy Birthday, U.S. of A.!

We have the Friendship festival in Fort Erie and Buffalo. They spend the long weekend celebrating both countries birthdays.

            Happy Birthday America!

I heard that this moring - I liked the way they read it with three separate people alternating paragraphs.

I heard the reading and recognized it immediately before it sunk in that we were close to the fourth. The language style is really glorious, isn't it?

I plan to throw caution to the wind & celebrate the way most people do.

Alcohol & explosives! ....and some charred meat. Hopefully it won't be my fingers.

                    Happy Birthday America!!!!!!!

I know it is officially the 5th of July right now for some of you, but I wanted to end the day with one of my favorite patriotic songs.

Crank up the volume and enjoy the music and pictures.

                        GOD BLESS THE USA!!!
