Please say a prayer for a young girl, Madysen Acey, that is now in the Cincinnati Burn Center. (Her given name is pronounced like "Madison.")
She is from my home town/county in NW Mississippi. Last Saturday, she was playing on some farm equipment, a tall cotton picker, I think, and she slipped and grabbed an 8000V electrical wire. It is my understanding that the storms that ripped through MS earlier that day blew some poles over in the area and the lines were dipping down some, but not blown over. As a result, the lines were closer to the equipment than normal. When she slipped, she grabbed the first thing that was close.
She has had her left arm amputated at the shoulder and the doctors are fighting to save the right hand and arm.

Please lift her and her mother in prayer. If you live in the Cincy area, know where the burn center is, and are close, go by an give some encouragement to Madysen or her mother. I don't know them personally as I have been gone too long, but many of my friends here know her and her mother well. Her mother worked with some of my high school friends.
Just a note, I know that at the time of the accident, the electric company workers were scattered across the county fixing poles that were totally blown over during the storm. Electricity was cut off for a couple of hours in several parts of the county. I personally was prevented from going to see a friend because the sheriff's department had closed roads in one part of the county because poles were laying across them. Therefore - leaning poles were of secondary concern at that time, but it was a tragedy.
