Not in California that I can see. This place is going under. We are thinking of walking away from our house and moving to Idaho to be closer to the Grand Kids and to get away from the Idiots ruining this state. That is about as unpolitical as I can get.

I think it is getting better. My company's orders and quotes are really increasing. We manufacture control centers and power centers for electrical substations, industries etc. Our sales this month were very good.

I've personally recovered, and then some. Not that I ever spent a lot in the first place, but somehow I don't feel as tight with cash as I did last year. We're in a bit of a bubble because it's a college town, but there do still seem to be a good number of locals out shopping.

It seems like a good bit of building in our area, but a lot of it would be done regardless -- the university gets a lot of money they can only use for certain building projects. We did get a stimulus-funded sidewalk so now my kids will be able to walk or bike to school without risking their lives so much.

Maybe we're at the crest of another wave, but so far the feeling around here is probably more optimistic than not.
