After seeing the blades for sale, and seeing people point out when they go on sale, I am wondering if I have too many, LOL.

I keep 2 or 3 of each type just in case, and 4 or 5 of the general purpose types just to be certain....so maybe 20 on any given day.

SPARE BLADES?! SPARE BLADES???!!!
There are NO 'spare' blades! There are only blades waiting their turn to be used. I need them all.
Maybe about 4 for miter saw, 10 for tablesaw, 6 for circ saw.You don't need a parachute to skydive, you only need a parachute to skydive twice.Comment

The only "spare" 10" blades that I have are the POS blades that came with tools that I purchased. All my other blades are used fairly regularly. So that would be 5 blades that are used and 3 spares._________________________

I have 2 for the miter saw, and 3 or 4 for the table saw. There are probably a half dozen for the circ saw laying around.

I have 1 spare of each blade type. They get switched when the live one goes out for sharpening.--

Ok guys, here it comes. I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 250 blades. I started collecting them to sell to painters and when ever someone has a saw quit on them, I foolishly buy their blades.Comment

I have 2 blades, the original bt3 blade and the one in my csms... apparently I have no spares and need to start buying some

I'm not completely sure what bruce hylton was referring to, but in my area arts and craft people use saw blades as canvas of sorts to do art work on.

Let's see....
Band Saw: 2 each 3/16", 3/8" and 1/2"
Recip saw: Not sure of the specifics, but at least 4 10", 4 6", 4 4", the above woodcutting. About a half dozen 4" metal cutting, and another dozen Lord only knows what...
Jig Saw. 1 package mixed Bosch blades. 12 blades total.
Circ Saw: 3 GP blades, 1 Hardi Blade,
Table Saw: 2 Diablo 40T, 1 OEM 36(?)T, 2 Diablo 60T Crosscutting. The crosscutting blades do duty in the miter saw as well. Oshlun 6" Dado Stack.
Miter Saw: OEM 60T POS, Diablo 60T shared with table saw.
Now I'm certain there are more, I just am pulling a brain blank here...

Band saw:
1/8" for sharp curves;
1/4" general purpose;
3/8" for curved cuts in thick wood;
1/2" - resaw blade (I have 12" band saw, 1/2" is the biggest blade it takes.
Table saw:
24T Freud rip blade - used often.
80T Freud Avanti plywood blade - used often;
32T fast rip by B&D (made in UK, decent blade) - used as joinery blade often;
60T crosscut blade - not used much any more;
40T general purpose blade - not used much any more.
The last 2 blades I used before I got CMS. Now CMS does all cross-cutting and these blades are out of play.
CMS:
100T good quality blade - used all the time;
36T the original POS that came with CMS. Good enough to cut PT lumber or other junk I don't want to touch with good blades.Alex VComment
