The people in the customer service area of the bank are typically the lowest paid people at the bank. Turnover is very high and most are incented on how many calls they take in an hour - thus some will tell you anything to get you off the phone. I used to work at a major CC company and would hear these stories all of the time. I too like the other member - got rid of all but one of my credit cards. I would rather live on a cash basis and use that for an emergency. I have my house and cars to keep my credit up!

So once again Capital one didn't do what they said they were going to do. Since my last post I receieved the check refund, but they were to stop payment on the check and credit my account back. Well, they never issued the stop payment, so I have to cash the check and send the money back to them. I will be sure to wait a few days to make sure the check clears before I send it back.
