Several years ago I met a Pro Comp drag racer through my bud that owns a local bike shop. Richard has worked hard building a successful business and enjoys the fruits of his labor by feeding is passion for speed.
To give you an idea of his mental state, I saw him pull into the shop one afternoon, trailering a Harley he wanted Glenn to work on (read 'make faster'). The bike was leaning to the right as he came down the street. The bike was straight on the trailer but the trailer's right tire was gone and it was running on what was left of the rim. Richard said he blew the tire about 15-20 miles back and didn't want to stop. "But I slowed down to 70!"
Beside his Pro Comp car and street bikes, Richard owns a Fuel Drag Bike, a Funny Bike, a Hyabusa, and a Viper. He recently bought a Lamborghini Gallardo, sight unseen, from a man in Florida. Underground Racing in North Carolina picked the car up and took it to their shop. After working on the car, it tested it at 1,700 hp to the rear wheels on the shop's dyno. Last weekend they delivered it to Richard in Goliad, Tx at a mostly abandoned airfield. The airfield is the site of the annual Texas Mile competition. Richard took a few 'test drives' in his new toy over the 3 day event.

He also had the Viper and the Hyabusa there. The Viper blew 6th gear on the first run and coasted across the finish line a little under 160. One of his employees rode the bike, but the gearing was wrong and he could only manage around 185.
