If I took my contacts out, that wouldn't even be close to big enough. (I'm not sure which smilie is more appropriate)

        Now that's funny.
I thought I was wrong, but I was mistaken.

I feel what you're going through Crockett. Last fall I decided to get my eyes checked. I've always had perfect vision but found myself squinting more and more. So I got the test and found I have 20/40 vision. I picked out some glasses thinking I would only use them every now and then. Now I wear them all the time and hate when I don't have them on. I guess I feel old because I want to wear glasses

I am 60 and I was going to get some new glasses this weekend, but Dollar General was out.

I am lucky at my age to be wearing reading glasses only, about the 1.75 diopter in the cheap glass rack. My time is coming though.

I use 1.75 also. Big Lots has them too.

I just had cataract surgery on both eyes. After fifty years of being so near sighted that it seemed like I was looking thru a microscope when I looked over my glasses, I am suddenly very far sighted.
Sometimes the old man passed out and left the am radio on so I got to hear the oldie songs and current event kind of things

Well Crokett look at it this way. I am doomed. My grandmother has Macular Degeneration and is "legally blind" and doesn't drive any more and has trouble shopping but she still is bowling. Then found out that my mother has the start of the same thing and has had treatments where they put some kind of injection into your eye..

I now have to be checked every year for that and some other medical issues because of family history. Oh and my mother is only 59 grandma is getting close to 80 I think.
