    I'm Getting Old

Doc did an eye test when I went in yesterday. Good eye was 20/30. Bad eye was 20/40. Last time I had my eyes tested they were 20/15 or thereabouts. Of course that was 15 years ago.

You're not old. I'm old. When I went to school, there was no history.

You're not old, the first time I had an eye test the results were in roman numerals.

Or, the doc threw some chicken bones and said that I had stye and maybe a bit of flatulence. He wasn't looking at the bones for the second diagnosis.

I had an eye exam last month with my yearly physical. When the nurse told me to read the chart, I said "What chart??".

I had to do an eye exam for work because I operate industrial mobile equipment. They had a mobile clinic come in to check over all the operators. I walked in with my perscription safety glasses on. They told me after that I don't have perfect vision and I should see an eye doctor. I reminded them that they were the ones who asked me to remove my glasses for the testing.

I've been able to pass my eye exam for my driver's license every year, but last time, I didn't even try to take my glasses off. I'm not old, but I'm older.

I'm not getting older, they're just making the print smaller!

I'm pretty much at the point where I need reading glasses; I could get by with just taking off my distance glasses, but now it's getting really difficult to see sh*t close up.

I wonder if anyone uses Coke bottle bottoms anymore. What's not funny is having to use a magnifying glass to read what's not small print.

I've worn either glasses or contacts since I was in 3rd or 4th grade. My noncorrected vision doesn't really fit the 20/20 scale. I wish I was in your position.

My parents know someone who had coke bottle type lenses. He had lazer surgery recently, though.
