I was out last night with the boys at our favorite watering hole. I am Yuengling fan, myself. Between the 4 of us, we had about 3 pitchers down and one in front of us that we were nursing. The barmaid poured 1/2 pitcher of Fat Tire for another customer, and then stopped to take an order and let the foam settle a bit.
Someone else walked up and topped the pitcher, thinking she was doing the barmaid a favor. What she wasn't aware of is that she was topping the pour with with AmberBock (Michelob).
We were promptly served this Franken-pitcher, on the house. And to be honest, it was not only good, but it was quite excellent. I noticed that it was smoother than the Yuengling, and had an interesting finish.
I am admitedly a beer snob, and a purist. But this concoction was fan-dang-tastic.
And the barmaid got one heck of a tip.
