    Irony

Last night my daughter was in the basement watching one show on TV while recoding another on the DVR, working on her laptop and texting her friends. I asked her what she was working on and she said her opinion paper for communications. What's your assertion for the paper?

she replied "Americans are too dependent on technology."

That sounds like a punchline for the comic Zits. Come to think of it, that IS the comic Zits...

I sent the OP to a coworker via instant message and he replied:

lol. i just emailed this to my family, sms'd it to my friends, posted it on two forums and made it my facebook status.

      actually, i didn't.

        Jeff,

LOML and I love Zits. It sure hits close to home if you have or have had teens.

I couldn't find the cartoon, but it showed parents on the first floor emailing their children on the second floor to come down for dinner.

I've never seen that cartoon, but it's apparent now that I'm living it. When one of my girls was home sick from school last fall, she texted me from the living room that she wanted some juice.
