    What To Do Now?

Sears is sending a repairman today to fix our microwave (under warranty). The turntable quit turning. So, this morning, it decided to turn every time. If I cancel the appointment, sure as heck it will quit again.

Tell them exactly what happened. If it's gonna be intermittent, they can either do something pre-emptive, or go ahead and memorize the way to your house.

This is like a car making noises and when you get it to the mechanic...no noise. It could be a female repair person and a lookalike for HL. It might be wise to have her show up daily.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

With Cab's past penchant for Heather Locklear I thought it was obvious.

Hehe I thought Loring was talking about Hedley Lamarr

It's not really my penchant for HL (she's OK), it's UC that has the fantasy. , I'll settle for Salma Hayek, Scarlett Johansson, or Winona Ryder for repair person.

Back to the microwave tune table

The turn table in our uwave has no mechanical connections. I have wondered if the little wheels are made so the RF heats one side to make it turn. If Yours is like mine, what can the repairman do? Replace the table?

P.S. If not for Hedy's patented invention, cell phones would not work.
                        regards,

The repair guy pulled out the stemmed plastic insert that the glass locks into. The glass also rides on a ring with wheels (not powered). The stem insert has a "D" shape interior that fits over a "D" shaft. The stem was split, and not locking on the flat of the "D".

He ordered two for me, and temporarily used metallic tape to close up the split. So, for now it works until we get the factory piece.
