    Anybody Use GnuCash?

Do you like it? Did you used to use Quicken? I am thinking of switching. Quicken is starting to annoy me. I lost a lot of data last fall. This year, trying to generate a report I need Quicken wants to count the van payments as credits, not debits so when it totals van expenses, I show in the black because the transactions are listed as credits against the loan. If I recategorize to show them as debits, they disappear from my checking account register.

I use it to track expenses of my woodworking. It works but I'm not so good at double entry bookkeeping so it tends to whine at me a lot. The wife on the other hand likes it but she is comfortable with the double entry thing.

LOML and I use it for a non WW related business we are in... I have never used Quicken, but she has, and she screams at GNUCash less... Not saying it's perfect, It ticks me off to no end, but I am no accountant...
