Ford Recall
02-06-2010, 01:02 PM
I received a letter from Ford notifying me that on my '07 Explorer the locked in park condition has to be fixed. Hey, how did they know?

I also got a DIY temporary repair if stuck. Tells how to disassemble part of the console to disengage the brake shift interlock. What a relief.

I'll bet a little Johnson's Paste Wax would fix the problem.

It's WD40 or Duct tape for universal repairs.
If it moves and it shouldn't use duct tape.
If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40.
Someone should tell toyota:
WD-40 on the accelerator pedal and duct tape on the carpet.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

I'll suggest that to Ford.
