Some friends did a driving tour of Europe a few years ago. She still tells stories of his driving. It seems they rented a car in England and drove around for a week or so and then, contrary to the advice of the car rental people, they did not turn the car in and get a new one in France. He liked driving that car and so they took it across and..... scared the you know what out of her and most of the drivers in France that first day. The French policeman told them that in France the French do not expect and American in an English car to drive like a Frenchman and so the other drivers were confused.
