    This could be interesting

Tonight and through tomorrow they are forcasting a good chance of 1" to 4" inches of snow in the Sacramento Valley. Hasn't snowed here for about 40 years at least any measurable amount. Think I will go to the Freeway overpass near here in the morning and watch the fun. Sacramento has very little if any snow removal equipment. If we get 4" of snow it will probably shut I5 and I80/99 down. I could be fun for the dogs as we can walk down the street and play in the park. I have no Snow removal equipment either.
Jack Ellis stay in So. Lake Tahoe you will be safer.

For more inft go to www.KCRA.com and check the weather statement.

    Al Gore you lied.

We're in Roseville and keeping our fingers crossed. Let it snow!

We had some great hail a week or 2 back!

Roseville is closer to the hills and a little higher in elevation so you should get a good blast.
Youngest son and family got back from a vacation in Cancun last night, he is work on the hwy 65 bypass of Lincoln, so he won't be working this week.

Tom, I'm in Tahoe City, not South Lake Tahoe.

It started snowing here around 11 AM and we've had an inch or two, though as hard as its blowing, I can't be sure. According to someone at the local hardware store, the forecast is for up to 18 inches at lake leve by tomorrow evening, with another storm due on Thursday,

It's very cold here - 19 degrees right now. It occasionally gets colder here, mostly in late December or January, but never when a storm is just getting started. With the wind, it is pretty rough outside, so I've been mounting clamp racks in the shop and doing other odd chores.

I was supposed to attend a meeting in Folsom tomorrow. Instead, I'll listen in over the phone. No sense getting stuck in the mess or worse, getting hurt. Besides, Interstate 80 is closed at Applegate eastbound and at Truckee westbound.

Yeah, it's been a wee bit chilly and wet so far this fall. It's not even officially winter yet... There are rumblings of another system forming sometime in the next week that will blow more snow my way too... Hang on, this is gonna be a cold winter I think...

One foot of snow on the deck already and another 8-12 inches in the forecast.

The forecast low at Incline Village tonight is -8F. -2 in Reno. Probably around zero closer to the lake.

I was going to clear snow from the steps, but it is so much more pleasant inside.

What would you expect from California? A lot of places in the Golden State that never get snow had white lawns this morning.

There'd been hardly any snow until yesterday's storm. Now two more storms are lined up for Thursday and Saturday, which should make the ski resorts very happy. We get the driveway plowed, but I still have several decks and the front steps to deal with.

Average annual snowfall here is around 16 feet. Not like Alta, Utah with 42 feet or Mt. Ranier with 55, but respectable nonetheless.

I get on a weather blog a lot, and last week was hilarious. Snow in Houston, and it started moving. For half a day, it was like kids following Santa on the NORAD site on Christmas Eve. Once it headed up towards northern MS/AL the thrill was gone. LOL
