    To all who answered,

Me and my entire human and dog & cat family have felt much comfort in your words during our time of loss.

For one thing, I still can't believe how much I've been affected by Emmy's passing, although I know that it was the best for her.

I'm just finishing her casket and my veterinarian has been nice enough to store her in his freezer until we bury her on Saturday.

Although the Jewish religion prohibits Saturday funerals, I feel that cats have their own gods that look for them.

Again, your words have been most soothing during this time.

I'm sorry for your loss. The loss of a pet is always a difficult thing. I had to put down my cat a little over a year ago due to kidney failure.
