We just buried my daughter's 'rescued' German Shepherd-Mastiff mix on Thurs and now this. I lost a G.S. years ago and haven't recovered from that one. I feel heartsick for ya, Don. I believe that since the Lord created them that they have a place in the hereafter. Prayers up for you all.

Don,
I feel your pain. I still remember losing my GS from 32 years ago. I haven't had one in the family again since then until "Oscar" and he is a young 5 next month, but I kinda hope my time comes before his. He's my little buddy and right now is lying on my left hip and thigh like he does every night at TV time. We do get attached, don't we?Bernie

Don,
I can almost empathize with you. Two of our three cats will shortly either have to be euthanised or will pass by themselves. Both have had a long (16 & 18 years) and have ben healthy until about 6 months ago.
One is suffering from a thyroid problem and is allegeric to the only two medicines available. She eats constantly, but still looks like a concentration camp survivor.
The other cat is in kidney failure and has stopped eating, she just drinks. We been giving her Half and Half, to possibly give her some nourishment, although it doesn't seem to be doing much good.
I guess that this week I should start making their coffins.
