The organization that I work for has many inspectors that live/work out of their Jeeps and most of those guys have built laptop racks out of wood that slip over the steering wheel and they have printer stations/racks bolted to the passengger side front seat. the rear seats have been removed and replaced with filing cabinets and equipment storage bins. They dont drive while the laptops are on the steering wheel, but they couldn't get their jobs done quickly and easily if they didn't have the jeeps set up to be an office.
Just think, you could be typing you last will and testament as you plow in the back of Semi at MPH. Expect to see one soon and the Freeway here in CA. New hi tech car, which is already here, Dash mounted DVD player, GPS, Hands free cell phone mounted on top of dash in a vertical position so you can see who is calling and a laptop desk on the steering wheel complete with a cup holder and place for the Hamburger and makeup. Forgot one thing the heads-up display on windshield. Son has the heads-up display on he Pontiac GP and I kinda like that not distracting at all once you get used to it. Forget it my sister's Toyota Venza has all that already execpt for the laptop desk and the heads-up display, but she added the radar dector.
I don't need that. I just touch-type emails, Facebook updates, etc. on my iPhone while I cruise down the Internet, oops, I mean expressway.

Leno did something on these with one of his newpaper segments years back. Last seasons Top Gear finally he was talking about that (differences in driving).
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.
