This is an update and likely not the last. My next door neighbor (22 yrs old) has been arrested...I can't keep track...3-4 times. His father refuses to bail him out this time.
His interaction with me got very close to be a slug out in the street. A little background. He was a smiling 12 yr old on a bicycle circling our driveway when we moved in 10 years ago. Seemingly a good kid. I was like a big brother to him.
I don't know when the actual snap occurred but, we've found dead fish on the ground outside our bedroom window. Dead rats that were trap caught, just thrown into our yard. After Wilma, loaned our smoker grill and a full large bag of charcoal so they could cook. I had to ask for the grill back. It was destroyed by heat. Never an offer to replace the charcoal.
Our little event in the street was due to him wanting another favor of towing his car. His smart mouth and "Army" comments brought us face to face. Fortunately for him, he didn't want to take his best shot.
His arrests have been mostly for stealing from people he knows. He broke into a friend of his father, and stole tools...was caught. Broke in again about a year later, and was caught...on camera. His best and only job was with the contractor that did the construction in our area for the sewer. A real tough job. All he had to do was stand in the road and divert traffic with a flag, for $12 an hour.
So, what did he do? He got caught breaking into and stealing tools from his companies' trailer. So, this time he'll likely do some serious time. Too bad. Not a good way to start out life. He's probably where he belongs.
