That is awesome! I have to get my lights out and put them up sometime in the next few weekends.

          Love it.

Will be putting mine up the weekend after Thanksgiving. This year it will have the normal stuff but will also have the religious decorations with the words Merry Christmas, no happy holiday, or seasons greetings. Kinda got away from it, my bad.

Don't you guys know the rule is the Christmas lights don't go up until the weekend after Thanksgiving. All that activity is to help you digest the turkey and dressing...

Maybe down in some tropical swamp...

Up in 4-season-land they don't get turned on until after Thanksgiving, but the smart money puts them up on a 60 or 70 degree weekend in late October or early November rather than dealing with a ladder work when there's a good chance of snow, ice, and/or sub-freezing temperatures.

Why? What he does to put up his lights is go to his shed and get out his 2 lighted deer and small lighted christmas tree. The deer are on his lawn and the tree is on the porch. I'm the one up on the ladder stringing lights, putting up my candy canes, etc.

Happiness is sort of like wetting your pants....everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.

So you're the Clark Griswald of your neighbourhood?

I suppose but I don't really live in a neighborhood. I put a string of lights on the house, a couple of the spiral trees in the yard and my big candy canes at the end of the driveway. I don't know if I am going to put the smaller canes along the walk this year or not.
