Can't find screws longer than 4" - Canada

I've looked in Rona, Canadian Tire and HD. Any thoughts, I need these for a weekend project, so MO is out. 5" preferred.

    TIA

Sometimes they don't have the best prices, but they do have it.

Check out both industrial in the phone book, and look at the packing on the screws at your local hardware stores. The places that sell to them don't always, but sometimes they do allow people to buy from them (if it is a non common hardware store item, like the longer screws).

Also, since I don't know what the project is, I am going to ask if there is another way, like dowels?

          Just more options.

You might also try a farm supply place.

The Co-op lumber yard and attached store have good prices and choices on screws.

OK, went looking for FoamBoard washers (without the nails - yes, they exist) and some 5" #10 (or close) Robertson screws. The Fastenal place had about 3 boxes in the whole store (slight exageration); don't give them long. They had no idea what a foamboard washer was and had no screws longer than 4". Brofasco also had no clue on foamboard washers and had no screws over 4", but seemed to have lots of stock. Definitely got the Home-Moaner vibe from this place though, everyone else was in coveralls. :-)

wood screws, machine screws, lag bolts, what size?

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.
