    These Things Are Heavy

Today I had to move out the old washer and deliver it to my neighbor. Then had to muscle this monster out of the truck and into the house and install it. Dogs were of no help at all.

That looks like a beaut. We used to have a Kenmore over-under "Laundry Center" but it eventually burned out, due I think to a disagreement with our power supply here. I thought it was heavy until we got a Miele WT945S.

Your picture is from Sears so I wondered whether the washer in your picture was a Samsung VRT, which I think is modeled (mechanically) after the Miele (you don't know heavy--and expensive --until you see a Miele). What a beast. It uses a direct-drive motor to spin up to 1600 rpm; we got one because my wife wanted a machine that would last us the rest of our lives, and believe me, it had better.
