    Rainy day blues

I got up early this morning ready to get busy cleaning up my shop. I woke up and found it pouring rain. Since I really need to move almost everything outside to clean and reorganize my little space, the rain really knocked the wind out if my sails. My little Basset hound even wants to get out and play, but my wife would stroke out if she tracked up the house. So I am sitting here with a strong cup of coffee and a Basset hound with the blues watching it pour down.
I hope your day is of to a better start.

Staying inside is good, because nothing smells quite like a wet Basset...

      Good one, Uncle C.

A rainy day in the house, feeling good, beats the tar out of being sick in bed. Count your blessings.

Keeping balance in the universe, it is a beautiful sunny day here in Dallas. My brother in law and I are on our annual pilgrimage to someplace warmer than Minnesota to go to the wood show. Thank you for providing the offsetting balance.

It was really nice down here in Florida (for a wedding) last night. Supposed to rain all day today.

Enjoy your coffee and the rain. Your shop will be there tomorrow when the rain stops.

I managed to take the dog out between showers so she is doing a little better now. I was really looking forward to this morning because it is the first weekend I have had at home in about 2 months due to work and my sons baseball.
I think he is more upset than me. We were supposed to go hunting for the first time this afternoon, he still wants to go even in the rain. I am getting to old for that so we will wait until we a better day.

A little gloomy but at least it's dry for now. Either way I'm working in the kitchen this morning slicing vegetables for a fundraiser dance tonight.

It's a sign that you weren't supposed to do a clean up. Time for dog bonding.

You must be on the West side of the State. Over here on the East side, we had blue skies with a nice breeze. Even got to play a round of golf. Perfect weather. Even though they said it was 60% chance of rain. Go figure!!!!

yep, it cleared out and got real windy late this afternoon. It should be better tomorrow. I should be able to get something done after church.

Beautiful fall day here 80F for the high. Took 2 of the 3 dogs over to the Community Center for Doggy Dip Day. At the end of the season the open the pools for the dogs to play in. The water is solar heated so it is warm. The dogs have a ball playing and retrieving ball and what ever. I go so wet from the 2 dog if checked my wallet, keys and cell phone at the office took my shoes and socks off and went wading with my dog what blast. Bruce and Lola thought it was cool for dad to come in the water. The charged $5 per dog that goes to the local animal shelter. Will be doing it tomorrow after church as they just love it. My two don't swim but run and splash with some of their Dog Park Buddies, they will retreive the ball but they don't go deep enough to swim yet.
The pool will close for the season and be drained and cleaned starting monday. Wish they had one open just for the dogs but that might get a little expensive to keep clean.
