    Obituary

At my age, I check the obituaries every day. It is unusual to find one that makes you smile. Here is one that appeared in our local paper that made me smile:

Sounds like she's getting the kind of send-off she would've wanted.

Some of the very old cemeteries have tombstones with humorous sayings on them. Most of the newer cemeteries don't allow this, and that's too bad. It can give insight as to what type of person he/she really was.

I keep telling my wife that I want a Viking funeral, but she keeps asking me "then how is your replacement going to keep getting my car covered in sawdust like I like it?"

What is your version of a Viking funeral?
Several friends in college used to have "Viking funerals" where they floated a burning couch out into a lake, instead of a boat.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

Even though I never met the lady I know that I would have liked her. Actually, I'll bet she probably would have preferred to be called classy over lady.

I heard that Rodney Dangerfield's tombstone says:

                "There goes the neighborhood."
                Rand
"If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like your thumb."

My great-uncle one told me, "A successful funeral is one that leaves half of ’em laughing and half crying." Looks like Cindy has that figured out.

All MY stuff on a boat, with my carcass soaked in gas and lit up like a bonfire.

Sadly, since getting married all of "my stuff" boils down to the tools and lumber in the garage and the shed. Even that seems to be in question, though the lawncare tools have to be mine, since my wife refuses to go near them.

(Now c'mon, y'all, which one do you think is Cindy-approved? The colorful depiction of what really was orrrr the life-draining conveyance of facts?)

Great example!! She must have been a ball to be with!!
