    I think that is a rusty vice thingy. It is used to hold many different pieces of rusty junk, not just woody thingys.

        a vise is not the opposite of a virtue.


        "great condition" = covered with rust? Typical CL description.

                The 'F Body' clamp is called such because its profile resembles that letter.

                This is either an INVERTED V Clamp or an OCR O clamp. Both rare collectibles and worth much more than the asking price.

                  In this case, the rust is used as a protectant to seal out all that bad stuff, like too much rust.
