    Boy Scout Fundraiser

As some of you may know my son Richard and I are involved in Boy Scouting. Every fall there is a nationwide fundraiser where BSA (Boy Scouts of America) team up with Trail's End Popcorn to sell popcorn. My son Richard is trying to earn his way to summer camp by helping with this fundraiser. There is an opportunity for folks to go online and order direct at http://www.orderpopcorn.com and by using Scout key code 2886602 which will give Richard credit for all sales. This popcorn is very good stuff, makes great gifts, and the proceeds benefit Scouts at the local level, which in this case would be my local level.

Trail's End also has a "product code" where folks can donate eith $25 or $40 to a US military donation. For every dollar given to this donation Trail's End distributes $1 retail dollars worth of popcorn to our servicemen. So there is dual benefit. Not only do the servicemen get free popcorn but Scouts and BSA Councils also get a share of the donation.

If you are looking for a way to help out Scouting I ask that you consider this fundraiser. Richard would greatly appreciate your help in sending him to camp.

Can you check the code? I just tried it and got the message "The Scout ID you were searching for does not exist." I'll try again later if it just isn't set up yet.

I figured my daily popcorn addiction should support a good cause rather than Mr. Reddenbacher's boys.

We had a scout knock on the door yesterday wanting us to buy some popcorn. I told him I couldn't do it in good faith since he was in the same den as my son.

No problem, nothing stands in the way of my nightly popcorn. My order has been placed.

Got hit by my two Grandson in Idaho. So my buck will be going to them. The are both Cub scouts. The 6 year old is just starting while his brother is in his 3 year.

I've got to say, The microwave popcorn is really good stuff. I can't get anyone to make the last bag of Ovrille's that we have in the pantry.
