Do people not have to check everything before something like this happens.
There has to be some kind of verification proccess, surely the bank does not want it's public image tarnished by evicting a family in this manner.
I think therefore I .....awwww where is that remote.

Too late! The bank's image is already tarnished. If I were the bank I'd already be trying to minimize fallout in regards to the pain, suffering, etc.

The chief cause of failure in this life is giving up what you want most for what you want at the moment.

This sounds like a fluke that there was no notice. But, feces happens.

I think the eviction process in Florida is a fast one, but I do know for a fact that it requires advance notification and posting of same on the front door of the residence. Somebody really screwed up here, and heads (and lawsuits) should roll.

The cities lawyers are going to go over EVERYTHING with a fine tooth comb, and probably try to settle this. They may go after the finance company, if every T and i was crossed and dotted (they find no fault of their own), but they will have to pay for damaging any/all property (as well as some lawyer saying stuff was stolen, etc).

The Finance company will be lucky if just the note is considered paid off, when this is done.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.
