PSA: Don't Leave Tools On Top Of Ladders

and then move the ladder. Ouch! I don't think my head needs stitches. It doesn't hurt this morning.

Gravity is H*LL, but a general gravity failure would be worse.

        your lucky

How high was the ladder and what fell off of it. It doesnt take much height and weight to create enough energy to crack a skull. This summer I have been repointing brick, removing a very tall chimney and relining box gutters while working off of a 40ft tall, 30 ft wide scaffold with outriggers. When dropping the brick from that height, some of the brick embedded themselves in the ground about 2 inches.

I did that with a container of paint once.

I got lucky... I ducked and it (mostly) fell right into the recycle bin full of newspaper.

Ladder was a 7' step ladder. My linesmans's pliers fell off of it. I won't do it again though, I promise you that.

I've never liked ladders. Once a year I'll use one to get on the roof (another thing I don't like) and clean off the leaves.

Several years ago ruined a step ladder and barely escaped serious injury when I climbed up without checking to see that the legs were set properly and the hinges fully opened. It slowly started to collapse in a space full of solid obstacles...

              I hate ladders.
