My Oldest Swallowed A Shark Tooth

She said she was pretending she was a shark so she put the tooth in her mouth and accidentally swallowed it. It was a pretty small one so I guess now all we can do is wait.

It will all come out in the end as they say. I think you will just have to wait a couple of days. What does the Doc say?

That could cause some damage. What kind of shark was it from?

tell her not to be too vigorous when wiping, or the tooth could be said to have come from the "great wipe shark"

No idea. But it was a small tooth. This morning she said she was fine so we will keep an eye on her for the next several days.

Loring, it is a write-off although one of her questions was whether we could clean it....

When i was little, apparently, I swallowed a penny. Not nearly as sharp, of course, but my parents still tell me how "psychedelic" the penny looked when they, uh, found it.

Stomach acid will at least blunt the points if it's a small one. Teeth go away lots faster than bone.
