    A Small Gloat

I've been planning to put vinyl siding up on the gable ends to the shop to replace the hardiboard that got damaged during the move. The Habitat Restore moved recently and on a whim I stopped into the new location at lunch today. I found hardiplank siding for .50 a sqft, less than half what the vinyl costs and I also don't need to buy the j-channel, starter strip, etc.

Not to mention you can keep all your siding the same material is always a big bonus...

Yeah but I realized that now I have to figure out how to get them up there. The pieces are 12' long and are HEAVY. I may have to resort to just cutting them into small sections and caulking the seams, although I don't want to.
