I am surprised the law got involved - he should have been too mortified to call the cops ...

At least they let him keep it. There was a story a while back, and I can't remember the details, about a guy that made advances on a related child I think. Anyway the mother and a friend assaulted him with a cucumber (successfully), and got arrested.
