    For the oak that is a great price. Red oak here is over 3 bucks a BF.

      Around here, i think that is about normal for green red oak. It probably won't all be select grade that you might find at a retail store so you may have more waste (though if you can pick through the piles it may come close). Another thing to think about is you may have insects still living in there if it hasn't been kiln dried.

        It's decent, but I don't think it's a bargin. It looks pretty rough and I would doubt they'd let you pick through it at $1.25 a board foot. If you build a lot of stuff and can handle it sitting for a year, it may be worthwhile.

          It's a good price, depending on how it's cut. The 100 BF price may be just for 100 BF, nothing less. Transportation may be either difficult or costly.
