    For you photographers

    Kodachrome to be axed.

I remember the first time I saw a 4x5 Kodachrome transparency. Blew my mind away.

I started working in a photo shop in the early 50s. Back then Kodachrome had an ASA speed of 10, you didn't use it on a cloudy day.

i shot pretty much nothing but 35mm Kodachrome from 1973 to 1995, and lots of it. That Kodachrome 64 was a thing of beauty.

I always liked Ektachrome better, the color rendition seemed closer to reality.

Same here I always thought Kodachrome looked a tad washed out and or under saturated. Besides which you could do your Ektachrome (now Elite Chrome) E-6 processing in your home darkroom. Kodachrome had some very foul chemicals and fumes and had to be done in a Kodak approved facility.

In the past I shot, developed and mounted many many roles of Ektachrome 100 and 200 slide films.
Right now I have no film camera so film is in the past for me. (anyone want some tanks and reels?)
