The mantra here is come early. I came at 9:30 like I did last year and was one of the last people to show up. I was selling stuff off the table as I was setting up. Scored some nice burls (ash & oak) for $5, and missed out on some super-nice Mahogany 10/4 blocks that were at least 4' long. (sob sob).
One guy brought a trailer and was selling lumber (oak, maple, black walnut) rough for $0.50 to $1.50 a board foot. Some else had some 8/4 cherry monster slab they let go for $20 IIRC. Lots of antique wooden hand planes at good prices - $10 to $40.
With the exception of the trailer of lumber, almost all of the good deals were done with by 11am, and by 2pm everyone had packed up and left. I could have sold my old Jet lathe four times over five minutes after it was bought. ("Where's the lathe!!!?")
One guy was selling a 1934 South Bend metal working lathe for $675, in complete working condition. I took a pic of it for him.
Hopefully next year it will be a bigger crowd and the owner will spring for a tent of some sort - when the breeze stopped it was miserable.
