Hope you don't get any severe weather, but a little rain won't hurt you. We had thunderstorms last night, and the power was out in our neighborhood early this morning. Luckily, we have a generator.

I really hate that the level of teaser spots and self-promotion on local TV has gotten so out of control. I've never watched for so long, while seeing so little actual news content as they have nowadays. And why must every story be delivered by some neo-amateur standing in front of some nondescript building where the story happened? And one of my local stations has six weather persons! Why do stations spend so much air time promoting themselves when we are already watching their station? Why waste time telling us about what they're going to be reporting on, when the same time could be spent actually reporting it?
