    A Conundrum

We are leaving tomorrow for a week at the beach. Today I jokingly suggested to my wife that I could stay home and work on my shop and she could take the kids to the beach. She said that would be ok. So... what would you do?

Go to the beach... the shop will be there when you get back. One day you'll have the shop and the kids will be long gone.

I am going to the beach. I've been working on the shop the last several weekends so haven't been able to do as much family stuff as I normally do. Once I get it all dried in I will relax a bit.

Most times, when LOML says "OK", she really means "You better not..."

Easy problem, go to the beach. The shop isn't going anywhere and family events become too fleeting over the years.
If you can read this you assembled wrong.

yes, do the family thing while you have the chance.

Nah...Tell her and the kids to have fun. Why would you want to waste a week relaxing in the sun, playing with the kids, spending time with the wife? Let's not forget all the cuties running around in skimpy bikinis that you would have to avoid looking at, just to avoid the stress!

Instead, you could be home alone, working on your shop, sweating, eating TV dinners and cold sandwiches, maybe get hurt with no one to know you didn't come in, bleed to death.....

Quit asking dumb questions and go pack for the beach!

While you're sitting on the beach, watching the waves hit the sand, your most important tool (the one between your ears) will continue working on the shop. You'll get more done than you think.

The beach wins, hands down. That shows this group has it's priorities in the right place.

I agree on the OK comment. I am still not sure what it is an acronym for but I am sure it's something like: On you fathers grave you better Know better then to take me up on this.

Honestly, if it were me, I'd probably stay home. Seems like everytime my family goes on a trip or has a long weekend, someone ends up in the ER.

If I stayed home, at least the ER I would go to is "in network." But, it would be my luck that the wife or one of the boys would be the one to go in instead.
