    I think I saw that ACME still carries instant holes in their catalog. If I remember right, they come in all sizes, from road runner to freight train, and on up. I'm not sure how the depth is controlled on those, though.

        About four years ago I would have turned to my Leading Petty Officer (E6) and said, "LPO, dig me a hole."

        These days, I'd write it on a post-it note and stick on my Wall of Things I Won't Get To Anytime Soon.

                            Bunker Buster although the cost may be prohibitive or invite the North Koreans to do their next test at the hypothetical hole location (might have to haul in some fill dirt afterwards) and not sure about the half-life thingy.
