No time for the shop today. I spent my day in the kitchen cooking meals. I wish I didn't have to but it's something I wouldn't have said no to.
On Wednesday, a neighbour had a massive heart attack, spent the next 36 hours on life support, and passed on Friday morning. Billy was the partner of a lady who I have known for many years. I was so happy for Laura when she met him. They just had a little boy together less than a month ago.
So today LOML and I figured it would be good to cook for the family. We cooked up a sausage hot pot, a chicken stew, and as a last thought I pulled a pork roast out of the freezer. They were having the stew tonight.
Sitting here tonight, I think things have finally caught up with me. I think of Laura who thought she found happiness, the girls who thought they would have a father figure in the house, and little Ben who will never know his dad. Guy's, when you read this, please raise your glass to Billy and say a little prayer for Laura and the kids.
Thank you and God bless.
