    I Have Great Neighbors

One of them is letting me use his tractor for free to put the shop back together. Another stopped by last night - they are going to watch the dogs while we are out of town in a few weeks. He is out of work (well he volunteered to be laid off). He figured it would keep somebody employed who needed it more than him. He didn't really need the work. They moved from Missouri mostly for his wife's job and he wasn't exactly thrilled at his job. Anyhoo, he saw the shop and offered as much time as I needed him for. So it looks like I will have help this weekend, assuming it doesn't rain again. It is supposed to though.

You watch - I have the pager Memorial weekend. It will be beautiful and sunny and I will be stuck inside working.

My neighbor babysat my kids for free when they were young and now is offering to put them both through college.
The neighbor on the other side hired a professional landscaper and had him do my lawn and garden as well so that they would match.
The guy across the street said his lot was too small because he already had a tennis court, would I mind if he built a pool for us both to use in my back yard. And I could use his tennis court anytime I wanted, to boot.

Well, not really. If what you are saying is a GLOAT then you suck.

It wasn't supposed to be a gloat but I guess it could be construed that way.

I've spent the last month or so worrying about how I was going to get the shop back up and expecting to spend several hundred $$$ renting a tractor. Then by chance I stopped to talk to one neighbor a few weeks ago and asked him if I could hire him and the tractor I saw him using the day before. He said it belonged to another neighbor I hadn't met. I went to that neighbor to ask about renting it, he said I could use it for free. I still didn't know exactly how I was going to do the work alone but I figured it out with no injuries except getting whacked by the tow chain. It has all gone a lot faster than I expected. But for the rain last week, I'd have the walls done and be starting on the roof this weekend.
