    Lost fans?

Any Losties in here catch the season finale. I thought it was great. Even better than the Battle Star series finale. I was starting to lose interest last season but it seems like the writers have really kicked it up a notch and ended the season with the a great episode. I'm really looking forward to the final season.

Yes, I thought it was great, too. I have shaken my head MANY times with this show, frustrated over the pace and lack of answers. Looking back, this season was mostly filler and fluff just waiting for the big bangs of the finale. That whole time shift thing really frustrated me.

It still sucks me back in every time.

My wife and I watch and so do my 2 co-workers, although, one of them is
very devout about it (and LOVES Juliet). He will certainly be reading
Entertainment Weekly's Doc Jansen's article this morning.

I did call this year's season finale, though. Most of the time I'm happy to just
follow along, but this year when the whole time travel thing happened, I said
(and I have witnesses), in the season finale, they're going to have to make a
decision whether they want to reset everything or if they will let things take
their course. Some will be better off not knowing others while others will be
        much improved because they did.

The last thing I said to my wife before I went to sleep was, "I can't believe
I have to wait until 2010!" It was a good episode.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. Lots of new questions, not many answers.

          I do have a prediction.

Bad Robot produces Lost. They also produced the Star Trek currently in theatres. I now predict that the 2010 season will leave questions to be answered, and that you'll have to wait until a theatrical release (2011) to get those answers.

You heard it here first. Lost will go to the big screen and you'll have to fork over $10 (plus popcorn) to finally have some of your questions answered.

Their excuse is going to be, "we didn't have enough time to wrap everything up. We needed to tie up some lose ends. So we wrote a final episode for the silver screen."

The decision to revert everything back to the plane never crashing or not being able to change the past will come down to one thing. How much commercial time they can sell one way as opposed to the other.

I did like this season though. It goes much better with TIVO..

I Tivo it, and watch it later in the week/weekend. So please don't give plot details, else I'll sic the moderators on you !

Started watching Lost mid-way last season, am regular this time. Can't say I'm an ardent fan, but I definitely want to see how they (the writers) unravel what they have tied themselves into. I like the way the romantic pairing is mixed up because of logistics !

My heightened interest is because of the long standing appeal time-travel stories hold for me. Always full of confusion. What exactly happens when you go into your past and meet yourself? How about if you shoot yourself? Timecop with Van Danme was one such.

But the funnest take is with Calvin(of Hobbes fame) : Calvin wants very simple things in life, like his homework done without effort - he goes from 6:30 to 8:30 in order to pick up a completed school assignment. But learns from the 8:30 version of himself that he (himself) hadn't done the work and hence he (the 8:30 version) does not have it. So both want to beat up the 7:30 Calvin, for not doing the work. And he reminds them :

From left to right, The 7:30, 6:30, and 8:30 Calvins.
It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

Great show. It was hard for me to wait for this season to start. I can only imagine how hard this next wait will be. I'll be happy if the wrap the entire show up and not leave any loose ends. I'll be very unhappy if they leave me hanging after next season.

I think I read somewhere that they don't plan on completely wrapping everything up like the numbers it will ruin the show.

I think there are some things they'd just have a darn hard time explaining anyhow. Some of it seems fairly random, and they're now paying for it as they try to explain it somehow.

I never did watch it when it first aired. I thought it was another idiotic reality TV show.

I got into it when the Sci-Fi channel rerean it. What was really nice was watching all the seasons up to the last on ABC's internet site. The Sci-Fi Lost marathons were good too. I didn't see this last season during regular airtimes, but I will catch it somewhere. Hopefully, a lot of episodes at once.

If you don't mind watching it online ABC or Hulu I believe have most if not all the episodes of this season.

I kind of prefer it. I don't have a HD TV, but watching it in a HD format on my 22" widescreen monitor next to my bed was good. Almost prompted me to spring for a big HD tv.

I figured I'd wait till the end of the season and watch it all on a rainy weekend. (Nice ones are spent out in the shop.)

                            A very interesting final episode.

I have a deep, longstanding hope that the writers have the overall arc scripted out (like Babylon 5) and have known where they are going since the beginning, rather than making it up on the fly.

Hard to tell where things will go with Season 6. Should be interesting to see what the effect of the final act will be to everyones paths.

The guy who plays Jack was on Jimmy Kimmel last night and he said the producers have already told him how the show will end. I think he said they told him the general idea but not all the specifics.

Like you I'm glad they have planned out the ending for the show and not just wrote it on the fly. I've never really been such a fan of a show that I went to forums dedicated to it but with all the mysteries of this show and specifically this season I've found myself visiting a few of them. After a while though you get dizzy reading all the possible explanations for all the mysteries. I think I've learned more about biblical characters from researching out how they may relate to the story than I did in my communion and sunday school classes
