    WW Accident - Recovery begins...

    Visited the Doc yesterday.

Plaster off, stitches out (bliss!). It's shorter than I thought it would be (yeah, I know).

Carole said to say - wrinkles will improve - Doc says "lots of hand cream".

(I hope) about 2 weeks and I can RIDE again.

Back in the shed and finding out how much I did with my right thumb

BTW - try zipping down/up with your left hand!

I agree. I just got out in the shop Monday for the first time this year and Rod's experience was in my mind every time I picked up anything sharp.

wow, I would give you a big thumbs up, but upon further review, that would be, hands down, just in poor taste

Be happy you don't have the "ole" Levis 501 (buttons) You could alway have Carole remove the Zipper and use Velcro. Glad to see you are recovering and back the shop. Hope you go another 50 years with out a misshap.

Well, it certainly looks better than the last picture we saw. Keep up with the recovery Rod.

                  Rod,

I'm glad to hear that you are on the mend.

I hope you realize the service you have done the rest of us. I heard the collective gasp of breath across the forum when they read your initial post. "If it could happen to ROD. . . . !!

That is actually what I thought when I read the initial post. This week while I have been working on my shop I have been much more conscious of safety than I usually am. A lot of good it did me though - I slipped off the side of the floor today and gave myself a bloody nose with my crowbar. I also think I have a bit of a shiner.

Glad you're doing better. As everyone else said, at least for awhile, you've made us all more safety conscious. If any good at all comes out of it, perhaps it will be saving someone else from an unfortunate incident because they were paying a little more attention.
