        Hey Paul,

That really makes the day, far f-ing out. But Ialways understood him as we were both in the same stage of mushroom mind.

Thanks, It almost makes me feel young. Think I'll dig out my Quicksilver albums and make believe.

2 friends and I were at Woodstock in '69. Could get high just breathing the air!

I remember Cocker well. None of us had ever seen him live. We kept yelling to each other (over the loud music): What's wrong with him? What did he say? Is he spastic? What did he say? Is he on something? What did he say?

Best time I ever had in 4 days! Should have gone on longer!

This is a great site for remembering for those who were there, or for learning what it was all about for those who weren't:

                It's A Beautiful Day

To listen to their May 23, 1968 concert at the Fillmore, or the Muddy Waters Blues Band there on Nov 5,1966

                Just found this today
                http://concerts.wolfgangsvault.com/

It's free streaming, can buy some as mp3 - Bill Graham's archives, King Biscuit recordings, plus some others- very cool

                Lindisfarne anyone?

Scroll the left margin to "see all" -

It took me about two more years to catch onto all of the "Woodstock" stuff.

I vividly remember my freshman year in college (70) walking back across the parking lot from the homecoming football game listing to Country Joe McDonald and his cheer. It resonated all the way across campus, followed by campus security trying to find the source of the embarrassment.

College in 1970 was the introduction to lots of interesting stuff. Went to a concert with three acts, Jan & Dean, BB King and Quicksilver Messenger Service. BB King stole the show.

And then there is lots not to talk about on a family oriented web site. Oh My the trip down memory lan today!

That was great. Cleared up a lot of questions I've always had about evolution and UFO's. Now, if they could do the same type of recreation for Bob Dylan, Arlo Guthrie, and Ozzy Osbourne, I would appreciate it. I think the problem is a large piece of slow dissolving hard rock candy.

Hey, Mildoc, I was there also. I don't remember seeing you, are you sure you were there:-)

You know they say if you remember it, you weren't really there.

I went with 2 girls (both platonic, unfortunately), and my bronze colored
'62 4 door Chevy. Besides 'outside influences', I was never very good at directions, so I ended up going in through a back entrance because I came into town the wrong way. Best mistake I ever made! I was parked about 150 yards from the stage for the whole concert! As I was leaving at the end, dozens of people were hopping onto the car trying to get a ride to the surrounding roads. When one jumped on the hood right in front of me so I couldn't see, I asked him nicely to get off. As he jumped off, he replied 'fascist pig'!.
I get chills just thinking about it!

Lucky you! We had to hike about a mile to get to the stage area. Finding the car again when it was over took even longer!

                          Guys,

If we're going to revisit our "lost" youth and the greatest of times during the late '60s and early '70's (and I'm not talking about the war). log into this link http://www.techwebsound.com/

It's streaming radio of music only from that time, including some ads and concert announcements. Including the occasional rock band ads to enlist in the Army (try to figure that one out).

Check it out, its worth the "trip".

Wow--he really holds it all in, doesn't he? Kind of a shy, unassuming singer?

I love John Belushi's spoof on Cocker--absolutely classic!
