This afternoon, I was offered a job as a maintenance man for a guy who owns what seems to be half of Indiana. Well not quite, but he owns a lot of properties, both commercial and residential.
I've been retired for 9 years, and I'm not looking for a job, even though the pay would be good, and the hours quite flexible. I'm both very surprised and flattered that he would ask me to be his guy to go to when problems arise with his properties. But my family has always come first, and I wouldn't leave my wife for hours at a time. So I'll forget about a bunch of new toys, and do what I can to make her life just a little easier. That's more important.
