The Dumbest I've Seen In A Long Time

or maybe ever. An otherwise pristine white Lincoln Towncar with a flame job down the sides and all over the trunk lid, custom chrome flame door handles and various other bits of chrome and what appeared to be a custom chrome rear axle, also flame. Either that or something attached to the axle. It was also lifted with tires/wheels that were too small for the car. Although I suspect that there might have been air shocks that can raise or lower the car. Whatever shocks there were didn't work very well. That car was porpoising at every bump on the road.

Welcom to California and out state car. Oh thats right you in NC thats NASCAR country. maybe it was just passing through on its way west. Ever see a 2000 Buick Regal with 22" Wheels and a Purple and Green paint job, there is one just down the street. The late model Buicks are all the rage in my area. Few town cars and older big Caddys all raised on 22" or taller wheels and tires

a Lincoln town car today in Houston went into the rain swollen ditch after the big storms.
Two adults bailed out along with a 10-year old. five kids in the car died - drowned - there was over 9 feet of water in the ditch and flowing at flood stage speeds. The driver failed the field sobriety test and witnesses say he was talking on a cell phone.

Now, which Lincoln driver is dumber?

Joker paint job, on a car with wheels that make it way off the ground. Yup, seen it.
Seen trucks, SLAMMED to the ground, that couldn't haul anything, or go over a speed bump.
4x4's with lifts, that were on factory tires (looks odd, 6" raise).
Guy came into the shop, with a car he just bought off of CL last week (I was in visiting). Brand new, blown turbo. Crankcase breather, venting oil on the tire. Bad body kit with way too much (cracking from excess) bondo, etc. And he only gave $3500 for it (worth $200).
A friends step kid, who thinks that he needs 20+ inch rims, on a car that doesn't work, while he moves into a rental house with two unemployed roommates.

All the people that drive bigger and more expensive cars then we need to, just because we can. America and cars, just has to make one shake our heads at the obsession.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

Older Chev van painted with General Lee/Duke's of Hazzard scheme complete with murals on the back windows, D of H vanity plate, and horn that played Dixie. To top it off, the couple dressed like one of the Duke boys and his girlfriend dressed like Daisy( but she shouldn't have).

This wasn't at a car show, it was at the drive in movie!
