A sucker born every minute (Handyman Club of America)

Proof that their direct mail program does work:

    http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/tls/1126003974.html

$350 for a no-name router and drill bits. And to think I've been tossing everything but the drill bit index each time I receive their offer.

I just got an invitation to join the Handyman club. What is it? It was a buck a month or something like that. Anybody ever try it?

I keep the plastic drill index and throw everything else away. I think the index costs them about 3 cents to stamp out.
They promise you all kinds of stuff that's too good to be true, and, well, you know about stuff that's too good to be true, it's not true.

You'd think USPS would have put a halt to this scam by now...

I bet this guy signed up so he could get $350.00 worth of free gifts. All he has to do now is sell the gifts and he will be getting a free membership. He is a smart one.

I not only have several drill indexes (some black, some white), and several flat carpenters pencils that don't fit into my electric pencil sharpener and consequently have never been used. Several years ago, received a nifty circle template...up to 1", a 6" ruler, and a small 45 deg triangle.

I guess I am not very special as I only get the black drill indexes - I have a lot of them and just hate throwing them away - maybe I can put them on CL. What do you think - $10 each?
