Looks like a well balance meal to me. Both the bacon and sausage food groups are represented. The tomato in the sauce is you vegetable. You can add potato chips for another food group.

I make my own bacon. I order a whole Berkshire [Kurobuta] pork belly shipped to me. I cure one third at a time, freezing the balance. I use a dry salt and sugar cure, with a little nitrate for safety and color.

I don't smoke the bacon, as I really like to flavor as is. It tastes nothing like the stuff we get in the super market.

Finally gave into LOML, will be painting the kitchen. Then painting the cabinets, then laying a hardwood floor and then countertops. The Kitchen is of 1982 vintage so I guess it is time. The money saved from not buy/insalling new cabinets should pay for the floor and countertops. I will install the floor and paint the cabinets. Then I will decided if my BIL and I can do the counter tops. Thinking of either tile or Granite. The is a place near by that will help with the measuring and cutting the hold for the sink and fixtures and then we would install it. The counter top is "L" shaped and and in two pieces so we should be able to handle it with some help lifting. Hope to be done by the first of June.

Not bad if you like Bacon, although I tend to go a bit simpler on the Cheese, plain ol cheddar.

My two sons cooked this up the other day. They used pork sausage and added some basil to the mixture, since they couldn't find any bulk italian sausage. It was gooooood.... But you sure don't want to eat too much of it!
